Moose Legionnaires

Their was fun to be had at the last Quarterly celebration in Co Springs, the only thing
Missing was you. The Moose legionnaires who were there had a good time. We look
Forward to seeing you at our next quarterly celebration Jan 14th 2012 in Aurora Moose
Lodge.

The Moose Legionnaire of the Quarter was Charlie Ross from Grand Junction Moose
Family Center.

New Qualification for Moose Legionnaire of the Quarter:

1. Name must be e-mailed to me or by letter received by me by the 4th of Jan 2012
2. Must have signed a moose legionnaire during the quarter.
3. Must attend the Quarterly Celebration in which his name is submitted.

I received a e-mail from Robert Neff Moose Legion Director , Moose International,
He would like us to work on keeping the members we have so our Moose Legion can
Grow. Retention is the name of the game. Would you get a group of Moose
Legionnaires together and work on your arrearage list in each Lodge committee. If you do not have a list have the assistant secretary in your committee contact Jim Weimer the secretary for Pikes Peak Moose Legion for a list.

Moose Legionnaires

David K Meyers (Moose Legion Area Manager) and I would like to mention the new program introduced this year of the lodge committee Moose Legionnaire
of the quarter for Pikes Peak 156. Please send me a letter or E-Mail me the reasons you chose the legionnaire and let me know what he has done. The
better you do your right up on your legionnaire the more chances he may be chosen. Please get this information to me 10 days before the next Moose
Legion celebration which is Oct 15th in Co Springs. Recognize your Moose Legion members you care about them for the work they do.

Another subject I would like to talk about is that we need to get out and encourage the members who have not paid their dues up and make sure that we
keep all our present members active. So lets get out and ask a fellow moose legionnaire to keep his dues paid.

CONGRATULATIONS GO OUT TO OUR PIKES PEAK RITUAL STAFF FOR BEING THE NEW INTERNATIONAL MOOSE LEGION RITUAL CHAMPIONS. MORE INFORMATION WILL FOLLOW AS I GET THE RESULTS PER INDIVIDUALS.

For those that have not attended a Moose Legion quarterly celebration and conferral lately, I would like to pass on a few changes that where discussed at our annual celebration in April. The board of Directors have decided to move the quarterly meeting days to Saturday in hopes that it will work better for the lodge committees and all. Our hope is that each lodge moose legion committee will take advantage of this day when it comes to your lodge and host the events of the day. The lodge can profit from increased revenue from the bar and the committee can increase there funds by providing a lunch and cooking a dinner for that evening and possibly providing the entertainment for that night. LETS WORK ON IT!!!
Brother Frank Vawter, our International Moose Legion Ambassador also ask that I ask each committee to submit a outstanding moose legionnaire of the quarter to him at least two weeks prior to the quarterly celebration. By doing this it will help each committee to recognize someone in their lodge moose legion and at the end of each year when you are ask to select a moose legionnaire of the year you basically have your pick narrowed down to four or less if you pick the same person more than once. LETS GIVE FRANK A HAND IN THIS EFFORT!!!
